MILITARY SUPER DOG PROGRAM
"Creating Super Puppies"
All puppies born at STAHLGRIFF ROTTWEILERS will be exposed to the MILITARY "SUPER DOG" PROGRAM to give your puppy the best start to life.
The U.S. Military in their canine program developed a method that still serves as a guide to what works. In an effort to improve the performance of dogs used for military purposes, a program called "Bio Sensor" was developed. Later, it became known to the public as the "Super Dog" Program. Based on years of research, the military learned that early neurological stimulation exercises could have important and lasting effects.
Research has indicated that puppies given graded exposure to this early developmental neurological stimulation program are given a distinct superior performance advantage over puppies not involved in this program.
Animal science has identified that performance is approximately 35% inherited and that 65% of performance traits are attributable to other influences, such as training, management and nutrition.
Benefits of Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) (Day 3-16)
Studies identified five benefits observed in puppies that were exposed to the neurological stimulation exercises. The benefits noted are:
-
Improved cardio vascular performance (heart rate)
-
Stronger heart beats
-
Stronger adrenal glands
-
More tolerance to stress and
-
Greater resistance to disease.
In tests of learning, stimulated pups were found to be more active and were more exploratory than their non- stimulated litter mates over which they were dominant in competitive situations. Secondary effects were also noted regarding test performance. In simple problem solving tests using detours in a maze, the non-stimulated pups became extremely aroused, wined a great deal, and made many errors.
Their stimulated litter mates were less disturbed or upset by test conditions and when comparisons were made, the stimulated litter mates were more calm in the test environment, made fewer errors and gave only an occasional distress when stressed.
Socialisation & Environmental Enrichment
Puppies are engaged in appropriate ordinary socialisation in addition to the "SUPER DOG" program. Our puppies are not born in kennels & will have a wide range of social interaction and environmental enrichment from within our home. It is important that puppies are exposed to the normal routine, sights, sounds and smells of daily family life.
All our puppies will undergo individual temperament evaluation prior to placement.
